How We Work

As a traditional architectural practice we generally follow the RIBA Plan of Work,  a structured way of organising a project that simplifies the many complex layers of design.

We begin by meeting the client, often on site, to discuss their needs, aspirations and expectations.   We would then provide some initial feedback, discuss fees and arrange a formal appointment.

Many prospective clients are unsure if they want to proceed, or if their project is financially viable.   For such projects, we offer a feasibility service to demonstrate what is possible within a client's budget, offering a risk-free gateway to the world of architecture.

We then work closely with a client to draft a brief, develop a sketch scheme and progress to planning stage (where applicable), using 3d modelling to fully explore and communicate the design.

A majority of clients would then retain our services for the Detail Design and Production Information stages, where we produce the drawings necessary for tender and ultimately construction.

After tender, we usually work with our clients to reassess their priorities and make cost savings before signing a contract.   Throughout all of these stages, we aim to be in regular contact with the client to ensure their satisfaction with progress.   At key stages we formalise the process through suitable reports, giving the client an opportunity to provide formal feedback.
