As a practice we aim to promote and instill the idea that architecture is more than just another service.   As architects, it is an opportunity for self-expression and exploration and we endeavour to replace the typical office environment with an energised design studio where creativity is celebrated.

 

We support all of our architects and designers through their professional studies with guidance and technical advice, aiming to foster long-lasting professional relationships.   By trusting our younger designers with real responsibility under a director's guidance we hope to keep them invigorated and challenged from one project to the next, while Inside Out reciprocally benefits from their professional development and confidence.

 

The studio is centred around the idea of knowledge sharing, and that by combining our collective experiences we are more than the sum of our parts.   We are heavily commited to developing a team ethos and a sociable environment, and spend a lot of time socialising as a practice outside of the studio walls.   Over the years, study trips and group outings have become an integral part of life at Inside Out with trips to Bruges (pictured), Oxford, Brighton, Rome, Paris and even Glastonbury.

 

On a professional level, we also arrange office outings to most of our project construction sites, allowing our designers to experience the spaces we make first hand and the process of making them.
