Two neighbours collaborated in creating new matching extensions on a modest budget. A simple palette of materials was employed, with white render used to express the new as distinct from the old.
Light was of paramount importance as we sought to overhaul the existing cramped kitchen space. Sizable folding doors provided both properties with a new connection to lush rear gardens, which, in combination with large rooflights, allowed daylight to permeate right to the back of the both kitchens.
Both clients used their remaining budget to carry out modest works throughout the existing interior including new bathrooms.
